Delete Account

At SanctusConnect, we respect your right to control your personal information. This page explains how you can request the deletion of your account and what happens to your data afterward.

1. How to Delete Your Account

You can initiate an account deletion in two primary ways:

  • In-App: Log in to the SanctusConnect app, go to your Profile screen, tap the Settings icon, and select the Delete Account option at the bottom of the page.
  • Email Request: Send an email from your registered email address to support@sanctusconnect.app with the subject "Account Deletion Request".

2. What Data is Deleted

When your account is deleted, the following information is permanently removed from our active production systems:

Profile & Auth

Name, email, phone number, profile picture, and all authentication tokens.

Church Records

Membership records, department roles, and church affiliations.

Spiritual Activity

Private sermon notes, prayer requests, comments, and event check-ins.

Preferences

Notification settings, theme choices, and reminder schedules.

3. What Data is Retained

To comply with legal, financial, and auditing obligations, certain data may be retained in a limited capacity:

  • Financial Audit Logs: Records of past donations and payments are retained for up to 7 years to comply with tax laws and church financial reporting. These records are anonymized where possible.
  • Communication Records: Archival copies of support requests or messages sent to platform administration are kept for up to 2 years for record-keeping.

4. Retention Period

Once you confirm deletion, your account is removed from our live databases immediately.

Backup Retention Policy

Encrypted database backups are maintained for disaster recovery. Your data will persist in these backups for a maximum of 30 days, after which it is overwritten and permanently irretrievable.
